How to give feedback or make a complaint about NHS Services
For help making a complaint or to provide feedback, please see information at the link here:
NHS England » Feedback and complaints about NHS services
There are two ways you can give feedback or complain about NHS services:
- Directly with the NHS service provider (e.g. your GP surgery), or
- Directly to the Commissioner of the service (e.g. South West London Integrated Care Board (SWLICB)):
- Telephone 0800 026 6082
- Email contactus@swlondon.nhs.uk
- Postal address: NHS South West London, 120 the Broadway, Wimbledon, London SW19 1RH
You cannot complain to both.
If you are unhappy with the local resolution from either your GP surgery, or the Commissioner, you can complain to the Parliamentary and Health Services Ombudsman (PHSO) NHS complaints in England.
How to give feedback or make a complaint about Fairhill Medical Practice or the services we offer
We take complaints very seriously, if you would like to make a complaint regarding the surgery or the services we offer please contact the surgery via email.
Email the practice to make a complaint.
Email is the quickest and preferred method however if you prefer to write then please hand it in at reception or post it to your surgery then we will accept this. If this is not possible due to a health condition please contact us.
On receipt, an acknowledgement will be sent within 3 working days in the patients preferred method and we will aim to have investigated matters within 28 days. At this stage we will respond with an explanation. Every effort will be made to answer your concerns as soon as possible by one of our management team and if we need to extend this time we will inform you.
It may be that other bodies (e.g. secondary care/ Community Services) will need to be contacted to provide evidence. If that is the case, then we will take it that a patient has consented this.
If it is not possible to conclude any investigations within the advised timescale, then the complainant must be updated with progress and revised time scales on a regular basis. In most cases these should be completed within six months unless all parties agree to an extension.
